Who Am I?
From the moment we become self-aware we are insatiably driven to make a name for ourselves. Here in the West, we sacrifice much in the endeavor to "become somebody." The foremost question in everyone's mind is, "Who am I?"
There are two places to look for the answer to this question. The first is within us. The world would have us believe that we are the sum of our actions—we are what we do. So we do and do and do as if our very lives depended on it. Sadly, that road is broad and on it, a multitude of people locked in an effort to find acceptance and significance only to come up short.
There is, however, another place to look—a more narrow road. Here we look to our Creator for the answer for He both made us and remade us. Who does He say that I am?
Turns out…
I don't need to make a name for myself—I've been given a name.
I don't need to find acceptance—I have been made acceptable.
AND I don't need find significance—it found me.
So, go ahead… ask me who I am….
