Valley Life presented a Good Friday drama called "Feet" that gave four very different perspectives of the crucifixion
...the sinful woman, Peter, Judas and a Roman soldier. "Feet" was written by Pastor Patrick Bowler.

THE SINFUL WOMAN
The scene: The woman washing and anointing the feet of Jesus. (Luke 7)
Played by Amy Jones.

Who is this man reclining at the table? He is unlike anyone I have ever seen before. So compassionate… I mean, no one has ever looked at me the way that he does. He doesn’t reduce me with his eyes… There is no judgment… He just looks at me… I mean, really looks at me… You know?

PETER.
The scene: Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. (John 13)
Played by Scott Christenson.

I don’t know… The whole thing was weird. I mean, what would you have done? Jesus was washing MY feet... That is crazy man! I told him not too… I was the only one of the guys that tried to stop him. The only one… And they want to argue about “who is the best…” Whatever"

I tried to stop him but he just looked at me and said, “Peter, if I don’t wash you, you have no place with me.” What does that mean? So, I said, “Don’t stop with my feet then… Wash my hands and my head.” I mean, I want to follow Him more than all these guys. He has to know that…

Well, He didn’t wash my hands or my head… He said it wasn’t necessary; He said I was clean… I don’t know… It was weird man… Jesus the Christ washed MY feet…

What was that all about?

JUDAS
The scene: At the Last Supper when Jesus predicts his betrayal. Jesus, referring to Judas, says, “He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.” (John 13:18)
Played by Chad Christenson.

I wonder if He knows… I wonder if He knows about the whole money bag thing… It is not like it was a lot of money or anything; I just took a little bit here and there. AND besides, I am the one in charge of the money bag… that has got to account for something. I didn’t see Peter or John step up and offer to keep the books. I shouldn’t have to work for free… And besides… I need the money.

Who cares anyway…? The truth is, all this wandering around these past three years is getting old… Let’s go already! If you are the “King” come on… What is He stalling for?

THE ROMAN SOLDIER
The scene: The crucifixion; where nails were driven into Jesus’ feet.
Played by Craig Flierl.

Oh ya… Absolutely… I love my job. Oh ya… It is what I have always wanted to do… Ever since I was a kid. I love it.

I mean, there is a lot of responsibility… They like it just so… That is for sure… BUT if you do what you’re told you’ve got nothing to worry about… I love it.

And you know… I don’t get stuck doing the same stuff all the time. Man! That would bug me to have to do the same thing everyday… That is not living… Not at all… It changes up for me all the time; I am always getting to try my hand at something new.

I doesn’t get any better than this man……

Oh, looks like they’re ready for me… I gotta go… Duty calls...

He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:3-6 (ESV)
